Creating a Balance Forward
A Balance Forward is typically used when you are transferring from another system to TherapyAppointment.
Its purpose is to move either a charge or a credit balance on a patient's account that existed in your old system to TherapyAppointment. Once the balance forward is entered into TherapyAppointment, you'll want to adjust off the balance in your old system.
Create a Balance Forward
To create a balance forward for a client, go to:
- (left menu)
- Click on the client's name
- Click Billing (top tab)
- Click near the top:
On the next screen configure the balance forward details
- Enter the Amount (left side)
- Ensure Balance Forward is selected (center)
- Adjust the Label and Note as needed (right side)
- Example shown below:
- Click when done
- On the next screen review and confirm, then click
