Private Pay - Sliding Scale
Private Pay is a designation that indicates a client does not have insurance and will be self paying for their sessions.
Marking a Client as Private Pay
To do this, follow these steps:
- Go to Clients
- Click on the client's name
- Scroll down to the Private Pay section
- Toggle the private pay switch to enable
- Enter the Custom / Discounted Fee
- Click [Save]
Alternatively, you can also do this under the client's 'Insurance' tab with the following steps:
- Go to Clients
- Click on the client's name
- Click the Insurance tab at the top
- Under the section 'Insurance Claim Settings' click [Make Private Pay]
- Enter the Custom / Discounted Fee
- Click [Save]
Removing a Private Pay Designation
To remove a client's status as private pay, navigate to the following:
- Clients
- Click on the client's name
- Toggle the Private Pay option to disable
Alternatively, you can also do this under the client's Insurance tab with the following steps:
- Clients
- Click on the client's name
- Click the Insurance tab at the top
- Under the section 'Insurance Claim Settings' click [Not Private Pay]
When Charting
Adjusting the private pay or sliding scale fee can be done while charting as well.
As a Provider:
- Go to your Schedule
- Click on the appointment
- Click [Start Charting]
- Adjust the custom / discounted fee to the right of CPT Code
