Adjustment, Writeoff, and Probono

Oftentimes adding an Adjustment is necessary. Follow these steps to locate and manage client billing adjustments, including write offs and pro bono work.

Add an Adjustment

To add an adjustment, follow these steps:

  • Clients (left menu)
  • Click on the client's name
  • Click Billing (top tab)
  • Locate and click the desired DOS or Description


  • Find the bottom section Appointment Charges and Details
  • Click the wrench build (far right) on the same line:


  • Under the section Manage Adjustment select the Adjustment Type first:


  • Edit the Label if needed (this is displayed within the client portal)
Note: Changing the label will not change how the adjustment is displayed in the Income Report.
  • Optionally edit the date
  • Optionally enter a memo only visible to staff
  • Enter the Adjustment Amount
  • Click  (bottom right) when finished

Edit or Delete an Adjustment

To edit or delete an adjustment, please follow these steps:

  • Clients (left menu)
  • Click the client's name
  • Then click Billing (top tab)
  • Locate and click the desired Date of Service (or description)
  • Click on the listed adjustment, or the pencil icon to the far right:


From here, you can either:

  • Edit the adjustment type or amount
  • Or remove the adjustment by clicking (bottom left):
