Reset Password: Staff and Clients
password lock_open Forgot your password? We get it, you likely have a ton of passwords to remember! Resetting your TherapyAppointment password is an easy process, just follow along:
What you'll need to remember:
- your username
- and email on file
With those you can reset your password at anytime!
Don't know your Username and you're a:
Client?
Please contact your provider's office. For privacy and security concerns TherapyAppointment support staff cannot assist clients directly.shield_person Provider or Staff Member?
A manager or owner can use these steps to verify that.Otherwise, send an email to support and we can assist with verifying that.

To reset your password:
Go to our login page here language https://portal.therapyappointment.com
This login page works for both staff and clients!
- Underneath Sign In, click Forgot Password?
- Enter your username as well as email address on file, then click
- After clicking Send Password Reset - if an account matches both the username & email address - we will send an automated email to the default email address on file

Common hang ups:
Not getting an email?
First check your spam folder or trash. While we reliably deliver emails, some spam filters can get it wrong. You can also add us as a contact or on your whitelist.Still not seeing it?
We won't send out an email if the username doesn't match (most common cause), so in this case we need to verify that first.- Clients: Contact your provider or their office to verify your username
- Staff: Check with an owner or manager of your practice, ask that they look up your username to confirm. Solo provider? Click here to reach out to support
Invalid link message?
If you receive "Invalid link" it's either not the most recent email, or it's expired for security based on the times shown below (non-configurable):admin_panel_settings Staff: valid for 1 hour
group Clients: valid for 48 hours
In this case, either repeat these steps or have a staff member resend the invite, discussed in our (staff) client portal credentials article here.
Once clicking the link, clients are first additionally asked for their date of birth for security and verification purposes.
- The required syntax is mm/dd/yyyy
- For example, January 15th, 1990 would be 01/15/1990
- The most common cause of error is entering one number for the month or day (vs two), or two numbers for the year (vs four)
- Still getting an error? Reach out to your provider's office to verify they have the correct DOB on file
Both staff and clients (once dob is entered) will then see the following screen:

- At least 12 characters long
- At least 1 upper case letter
- At least 1 lower case letter
- At least 1 number
- It also cannot match any of your previous 4 passwords
Once entered, click and you will be redirected to the sign-in page with a status message.
