Headway and Alma
Working with Headway and/or Alma to file insurance claims for your clients?
Follow the steps below to set up your account to keep track of your payments received through Headway and Alma.
In this Article:
Adding Headway and/or Alma to your Practice Settings:
- Click (top right menu)
- Click Billing & Ins. (top tab)
- Click in the Insurance Features section
- Click (top right of screen)
- Under Manually Add Insurance Company, type in the name of the insurance company your client has followed by Headway, shown below:

Example: BCBS/Headway OR Aetna/Headway
- Click
- Select Simple for the Claim Submission Type
- Click or if you have more than one to enter
Assign this Insurance to a Client:
Go to:
- (left menu)
- Click on the clients name, loading their profile
- Scroll down to the Primary Insurance section
- Click
- Select the Insurance Company name:
- Complete the rest of the fields
- Click
Each time you create a chart note of billing for a client with Headway or Alma, the Dashboard and Billing page will show a Simple Claims list you can print print
When a payment is received from Headway or Alma, description follow these steps to enter it.
