Client Find your Therapist

⚠️ Intended Audience: Clients of providers that use our software to manage their practice.

In this article we will show you how to use our Find your Therapist feature to find either your specific therapist that you're seeing, or to search for a therapist in your area that uses our system, you've come to the right place!

Already have a portal account?

If you are a client and already know your username and password, you can skip this step and just go straight to our sign in page by clicking here.

You do not need to find your specific provider to sign into the system, you can use our main sign in page, which you can also bookmark!

⚠️ Don't know your username? You'll need to reach out to your provider's office directly for assistance to retrieve that, TherapyAppointment staff cannot assist with verifying your username or if an account is set up for your privacy and security.

If you don't have an account yet, they can send you an invite to set one up.
⚠️ Know your username, but not your password? With your username and e-mail, you can reset your password on your own at anytime. Follow the steps here: Password Reset.

Find your Specific Therapist

  • To find your specific therapist in our system, click here to take you to the search.
  • Click the right side search bar
  • Enter your therapist's name and click the search icon or click enter on your keyboard:

⚠️ Note: Depending on your browser, you may see a similar prompt asking for your permission to use your location. This is only so we can show you therapists in your area based on proximity, but is not required.

If you are searching by a therapist with a common name, it will help filtering by location. TherapyAppointment does not store your location in our system.

  • You should then see a similar looking page with the search results:

  • Click the far right blue button to begin the registration process
⚠️ Note: If you are a previous client, you have likely already been entered into the system by your therapist, even if you never set up a portal account. In this case, please reach out to your therapist's office directly and ask that they either send you a portal invite or confirm your username. With just your username you can reset your password on your own with this article. Re-registering will duplicate your account in the system, and can cause confusion and issues for both you and your therapist.

  • Click the left side blue button

  • Here you'll be brought through a few steps so we can identify which provider best matches your needs
  • Included are location, what type of counselor you're looking for, what type of appointment, and in person or telehealth

  • At the top left corner, you can adjust your filters there, or by clicking More Filters:

  • This will expand a filter list on the right
