Receipts - Client Payments
Do you or a client need to access and view or print a receipt for a payment made?

Creating a Receipt
As soon as you complete the payment, it will be immediately visible to you, other staff members, as well as clients (via the portal).
To access go to:
- (left menu)
- Click on the client, bringing you to their profile
- Click Billing (top tab):
- You'll then be presented with this screen, showing the client payment:
Viewing, Printing, or Saving a Receipt
- To view a receipt, from the screenshot above click on either the date or line item (Client Payment)
- That will bring you to this screen below, where you can view payment details:
Clicking (top right) will open a new tab with the receipt as a PDF.
From here, you have two options:
- download Download & save as a PDF to your local device
- print Or print the receipt
Enable Client Portal Settings for Billing
Follow the steps below to ensure that's enabled:
- Click your name (top right menu)
- Click
- Click the Client Portal tab
- Ensure "Allow clients to view their accounts and receive statements? " is set to Yes
- If not:
- Click the button
- Change the above option to Yes and click
Client Portal View: Print Receipt
Clients can sign into the same portal link you do!
Client login options:

- Clients can also visit our main website and click (top right) on any screen:
Once signed in:
- Click (left menu) here:
- From there, clients will be presented to a similar billing screen as your own:
- Click on the date or line item Client Payment to bring you to the payment details page (shown above)
- Then click (top right, shown below)
- This will open a new tab with the receipt as a PDF
Here you have two options:
This would save the PDF to your local device. This gives you options like sharing this receipt with others securely like via HIPAA compliant email (like ours!) or other options.
We also recommend securely erasing delete any files with PHI in them immediately when you're done with them, and instead securely keep them within our system for future reference!

Common Questions:
Can I send the client a receipt via email?
The short answer is no for client privacy and security. For those reasons, we've opted to not build this feature in accordance to our understanding of HIPAA. Email is risky, so we don't send receipts that way. We keep everything contained within our HIPAA compliant system, so client data and privacy is secure. The only way to access a receipt for the client is to sign in to the client portal with the above steps.
Are receipts automatic?
Yes! As long as you processed the payment, the payment and automatically generated receipt is immediately available to your client. The client just needs to sign into the portal and use the above steps to access.
