Set up Finix Card Processing

Required Roles: Owner or Manager

To access:

  • On any screen click (top right)
  • Then click Billing & Ins (top tab)
  • Find the section Payment Processing near the bottom
  • Note the message that card processing has not been set up yet, and click the far right button


  • Review the fees and terms, then click (top center)


  • You'll then be brought into a sign up process with a few steps outlined at the top:


  • When ready click shown above
  • You’ll now begin the onboarding process which has five steps, progress is noted at the top of the page
  • Work your way from top to bottom on all of these pages


Common Registration Hangups

Here we list a few common hangups in order of steps:


Step 3: Processing Info


Merchant Category Code (near the top):

8099 - Medical Services & Health Practitioners (Not Elsewhere Classified) is the most commonly used one for medical providers.


Card Volume (near the bottom):

  • Here you enter the approximate percentage breakdown of how you collect your payments:
    • Online
    • In person
    • Mail/telephone payment distribution
    • All 3 of these must equal 100%
  • You must enter information in each field, even if the percentage is 0

  • Similarly all 3 of these fields must equal 100%
  • Most providers will all be business to consumer, but your organization may be different

Step 5: Review & Submit


Personal Identity Verification (Photo ID)

Here you review your application. Included is uploading a government issued photo id and a selfie to verify your identity.

To start, click near the top shown here:

  • The system will walk you through a set of straightforward verification steps
  • Follow the prompts, clicking
  • Click photo_camera to take a picture of the respective ID
  • The system will then ask you to take a selfie of yourself: front facing, left and right

Prefer to use another device, like your phone?

During either process you can switch devices with the shown below. This sends an email link that you can use to pick up where you left off.


When prompted to take a picture of your ID:

Your browser will ask for permission. Here is an example in Google Chrome, though most browsers similarly alert you on the top toolbar:
  • Once complete, you'll see a success prompt, closing it redirects you to the application to finalize
  • Under the top section Personal Identity Verification, you should now see Verification status: Submitted
  • Review your information for accuracy, then scroll to the bottom, review the terms and conditions and click

When Complete:

  • You will be redirected back to your settings page
  • Initially you'll see the review status showing underwriting review is in progress:


Once Approved:

You will see your Payment Processing with a check mark similar to below showing you're connected:

🎉 Congratulations! You've configured your payment processing and can go on to take payments!

PCI Compliance

🏝️ Make PCI compliance a breeze with us!

When you sign into your account, and an upcoming annual PCI compliance form needs to be signed, we'll show you on your home page at the top right:


  • This will then bring you to your compliance forms that need to be completed
  • Find the form and click


  • We automatically load key information to help you with the process
  • When finished reviewing, at the bottom enter your title and full legal name, then click (bottom right)

🏝️ That's it, you're done! Phew!

Disable Finix Card Processing

Not for you? We get it! We try to add solutions that work for everyone, but we do understand if it doesn't fit your specific needs unfortunately.

To disable card processing, you'd follow a similar set of steps:

  • On any screen click (top right)
  • Then click Billing & Ins (top tab)
  • Find the section Payment Processing near the bottom
  • On the top line, click the far right button


  • Enter your password for security to confirm
  • Then click (top right) to proceed
